Starting with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, though, some phones can use SD cards as internal storage as well. Your Android device will continue working properly if you remove it. You can remove the SD card from the device and plug it into your computer or another device and transfer files, like videos, music, and photos, back and forth. In the past, Android has traditionally used all SD cards as portable storage. There are two ways to use an SD card with your device. If Internal Storage I would not know how you could transfer the data to the larger SD card. This all depends on if you have your SD card set to External Storage or Internal Storage where apps are installed to the SD card. It requires a third party partition manager like Minitools Partition Wizard or Aomei Partition Assistant. If the file system is FAT32 then Windows cannot format it. It's also possible your 128GB SD card is bad. You can also upload the data from your phone SD card to the cloud then download the data to the 128GB card if the phone was able to format the 128GB SD card. If not then get yourself a USB SD card reader or use another computer. Can you pull the current SD card in the phone, install 128GB SD card and have the phone format the card? Does the Toshiba then detect the SD card?
